FRYE INTERNATIONAL was founded in 1980 by a chemist and a physicist. The company initially produced quality plastic parts for other firms such as Compaq Computer, Fisher-Price, etc. In 1991 the company acquired the LAMARLE® line of airtight food storage containers and began producing these containers under a FARBERWARE® license in 1993. The company no longer produces parts for other companies and now focuses exclusively on its LAMARLE®, FARBERWARE® and MONTERREY® product lines.

Many owners of LAMARLE®, FARBERWARE® and MONTERREY® products have noticed similarities between our seal quality and that of TUPPERWARE. This is because the LAMARLE® product line was born at the same time that the patent expired on the TUPPERWARE famous airtight, "burpable" seal. The expiration of the patent permitted LAMARLE® to duplicate the industry's best seal design and offer it at a fraction of the cost. This is one reason why LAMARLE®, FARBERWARE® and MONTERREY® products are today's best value in food storage.
